Nestled in the quaint village of Apollona, Kafenion Stou Plastira is not just a cafe; it’s a heartwarming experience that melds traditional Greek culture with an inviting atmosphere. This charming coffee house is a delightful escape for both locals and travelers looking to unwind with a cup of expertly crafted coffee under the shade of its majestic trees.

As you approach Kafenion Stou Plastira, you're welcomed by the vintage decor that tells stories of a bygone era. Inside, you'll find an array of historical artifacts and charming furnishings, each piece echoing the rich heritage of the region. Thanks to the enthusiastic couple who run the cafe, you’re not just a customer; you become part of a narrative that celebrates local history. "Don't be intimidated by the age group of the regulars," says customer Κωνσταντινος Απο Πειραια, encouraging visitors to soak in the ambiance and camaraderie of this unique spot.

But let’s talk about the highlight: the coffee. It’s essential to try the authentic Greek coffee, a time-honored staple that transports your senses with its rich aroma and robust flavor. For those feeling adventurous, the Freddo cappuccino is a must-try; it’s beautifully made and strikes a perfect balance between silky foam and bold, refreshing espresso. Add a side of traditional sweets, as suggested by George Papadopoulos, and your experience becomes a delightful culinary journey.

The outdoor seating area is nothing short of idyllic. With a laid-back atmosphere that encourages relaxation, you can sip your drink while enjoying the serene courtyard—a real treat, as highlighted by Fergal Hale-Brown in his glowing review. It's the kind of place that feels like home, perfect for a pit stop after exploring the charming village streets or simply enjoying a moment of respite.

Kafenion Stou Plastira is recommended not just for the beverages but for the unique ambiance that feels like stepping back in time—a museum in its own right. As Simon-Stergos Daly aptly puts it, this traditional coffee spot is a true must-visit. Whether you're seeking a refreshing drink or simply a cozy corner to absorb the local culture, this cafe promises an experience that lingers long after the last sip.

If you find yourself wandering through Apollona, make sure to take a sentimental detour to Kafenion Stou Plastira. Here, every cup served is steeped in history and warmth, just waiting for you to savor.

Traditional coffee house with vintage decor. It's really worth the visit to have your coffee or traditional Sweets under the huge trees in the yard. Don't be intimidated by the age group of the regulars hehe hehe. The young couple that run the place are very enthusiastic and polite and will be happy to show you around as all the items of the decor carry a bit of history in them. Whatever you order be prepared to pay very low prices . Try the local brands of Juices and refreshments you will be pleasantly surprised.

What a heartwarming place. Me and my girlfriend came here today for a traditional Greek coffee and a Freddo cappuccino (and a chocolate milk), which were lovely. The place itself - Inside it is full of historical Greek items, if you come here be sure to check it out, we did and we found it really cool. Outside you have a laid back atmosphere, with a really cute courtyard. You feel like a real local when you drink in here, really welcoming people. The best part about this place for us was the service. The owner, came to our table and made the effort to sit with us and speak with us about where we’re from, what to do in Rhodes, and about the history behind the cafe. He has a very welcoming presence, had a smile and was very attentive to our needs and the needs of everyone in the cafe. He even gave us both a bottle of water each for no charge as he could tell we were hot. My friend, hopefully you see this, we are looking forward to seeing you in London soon!

Not just a coffee place. This is a museum and hidden gem in the heart of Apollonas village. Do not rush your stay there, take your time while enjoying greeks delicasies. Time stays still and for those who know can bringback childhood memories. Lots of pieces to explore and the owners are more than happy to give you a tour. This place will soon be part of the historic and vintage coffee places across Greece.

The most impressive "kafeneio" I've ever been to! The entire place is like a folklore museum with many exhibits from the 19-20th century. It is awarded as one of the 100 historical cafés around the world! You should definitely visit it for a "Greek coffee" and take a free tour around the exhibition!
